You Don’t Need Other People to Validate Your Feelings

When we accept our emotions, we’re saying they’re okay. We’re not judging them or trying to change them. It’s like saying, “Yes, I’m feeling sad right now, and that’s alright.” We’re recognizing that our feelings are real and important. It doesn’t matter if we’re happy, sad, angry, or worried – we should let ourselves feel these emotions completely. This helps us understand ourselves better and deal with our feelings in a healthy way. By doing this, we can start to see that all our emotions, even the tough ones, are a natural part of being human.

Validating our feelings doesn’t mean we have to act on them or let them control us. Instead, it means accepting them as part of our human experience and learning to manage them in healthy ways.

Your feelings, whether from the past or the present, are important and should never be ignored. They were real back then, and they’re still real now. It’s okay to feel them, and you shouldn’t be afraid to experience them without hiding or apologizing.
