Don’t Let the Outer World Control Your Inner Peace

I talk about peace a lot. Searching for it. Being in it. Protecting it. Living in it. It’s at the center of my being. I’ve noticed people sometimes gloss over it—like it’s something nice to say but not something you can actually hold onto. But I disagree. I think inner peace is one of the most valuable things a person can acquire.

Because the world is loud. It’s relentless. It will hand you reasons every single day to be anxious, angry, reactive, and afraid. The news, the noise, the people who take without giving, the situations that spiral beyond your control—all of it pressing in and competing for the quiet place inside you.

Here’s what I know: The world can influence your peace. But only you can control it.

Deep down, there’s a part of you that’s completely yours, a place where nothing can get to you without you saying so. It’s not always easy to find this spot, and it’s even harder to keep it safe. But when you finally discover what it feels like to be totally calm, stable, and at peace, even when everything around you is falling apart, you’ll want to hold on to it with all your might. You’ll do just about anything to keep that feeling, because it’s what keeps you grounded and strong, no matter what’s going on in your life. It’s a sense of being okay, even when things aren’t okay, and it’s a truly amazing thing.

When you finally discover that sense of inner peace, make sure to hold on tight to it. Take care of it, treasure it, and protect it with all your might, because it’s truly the most valuable thing you possess. The world outside will always be unpredictable and chaotic, so don’t let it take control of your inner world – keep that safe and secure. Remember, your inner peace is what keeps you grounded and centered, so nurture it and keep it close to your heart. By doing so, you’ll be better equipped to handle life’s challenges and find a sense of calm amidst the chaos.

Never give your peace away. Not for anyone. Not for anything.
